Handmade organic RED hooded light jacket/ buttoned cardigan for babies and children featuring a mice pattern lining.

  • Material: outer fabric - organic brushed French Terry jersey  from 95% organic cotton + 5% lycra// lining - organic loopback jerset (light sweater) from 97% organic cotton + 3% lycra.

  • Size: 9-12 months (80 cm) up to 4 yearas (104 cm). If the size you're looking for is not ready to ship, you can still order it by choosing the "made-to-order" option depending on fabric availability (the realization time is 2 to 3 weeks, but probably much less. If you need it sooner, just get in touch and ask. It may just take as little as a few days).

This light hooded jacket is entirely organic and a real eye-catcher with its intense red color. It is a soft and cozy garment featuring a lovely patterned lining with lots of adorable mice oa a white background and closes on the front with small, round, wooden coconut buttons.

A combination of two fabrics make it soft and comfy: a red, brushed French Terry for the outer fabric (warm sweater fabric) and a loopback cotton jersey for the lining. What makes it so fluffy? The brushed lining works its magic. What makes it warm? The fact that the lining is made from an organic warm sweater material called French Terry, with a brushed yet not visible inside and the outside is a slightly thicker organic cotton jersey. What makes it roomy? The fact that it's designed to have a generous fit and can be used either as a longer buttoned vest as well as a lighter jacket (not water proof, of course), depending on the outside temperature and on what your child is wearing underneath. 

The mice pattern on the white lining fabric features male characters as well as female characters and is scattered with sweet and juicy strawberries on a white background. A freshly baked strawberry cake is about to be served and the plants are being taken care of. All mice are working  very hard... Wait... Did I say all mice? How about that little guy taking a siesta under the strawberry plant? 

 

As for the whole "The Country Mouse and The City Mouse" collection, the artwork was created by Anastasia Wessex, a very talented illustrator based in the U.K.,who collaborated with me on this lovely collection.

The HOGWARTS hooded cardigan/jacket has all it takes to keep your little one warm during the cooler Fall or Spring days inside and warmer Fall and Spring days outside.
